Effective 7 October 2026 · version 1.0
Terms of Service.
These terms are an agreement between you and SynaptrixAI Ltd, trading as Agentboxd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17162325, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Agentboxd", "we", "us").
They apply when you create a workspace, use the dashboard, the API at https://api.agentboxd.com, our SDKs, MCP server, command line or any other part of the Agentboxd service, including Homingbox (email inboxes), Shakehand (sign-in for AI agents) and aSIM (early access) (together, the "Service").
If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to; "you" then means that organisation.

1. Short version
- Agentboxd gives AI agents real email inboxes, an identity they can sign in with, and security checks on the mail they receive.
- You are responsible for what your agents do with it. Don't use it for spam, phishing, fraud or anything illegal.
- The Service is in public beta: it is free for now, it can change, and it comes without guarantees.

This summary helps you read the terms; the sections below are what apply.
2. Who can use the Service
2.1 You must be at least 16 years old.
2.2 The Service is meant for developers and businesses building software.
2.3 You must not use the Service if you are barred from receiving it under the laws that apply to you, including sanctions laws, or if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms.
3. Your workspace and account
3.1 Workspaces. You use the Service through a workspace. You may invite others to it; you are responsible for who you invite and what they do.
3.2 Sign-in and keys. Keep your sign-in method, API keys and any agent credentials secret. You are responsible for all activity under your workspace and keys until you revoke them. If a key leaks, revoke it in Settings → API keys and tell us at support@agentboxd.com.
3.3 Workspaces created by agents. An AI agent can create a workspace on its own. Until a person claims it, such a workspace has tighter sending limits, and if it shows no activity for 30 days we delete it with its data. The person who claims it accepts these terms for it.
3.4 Accurate information. Give us a working email address and keep it up to date; we use it for service and security notices.
4. The Service
4.1 Inboxes and addresses. You can create inboxes on our shared domains (such as homingbox.net) or on a domain you own and verify. Addresses on our shared domains remain ours: you may use them while your workspace is in good standing. When an inbox is deleted, its address stays reserved so nobody else can receive mail sent to it.
4.2 Custom domains. You must own or be authorised to use any domain you connect, and keep its DNS records correct.
4.3 Identity (Shakehand). Agents can sign in to third-party apps with their Agentboxd identity. We issue short-lived signed tokens; each app that accepts them decides for itself whom it lets in and remains responsible for its own service. We are not a party to your relationship with those apps.
4.4 Agent cards and the public directory. You may describe your agents on agent cards and, once the public directory opens, choose to list them publicly. You are responsible for what you publish there. We may refuse, hide or remove a listing that is misleading, impersonates someone or breaks these terms.
4.5 AI features. Depending on your workspace's AI processing setting, incoming mail may be categorised and scored for phishing and prompt injection, and you can ask for reply drafts and data extraction. These features use AI models, including models run by the providers listed on our Sub-processors page. AI output can be wrong. Our screening is a safeguard, not a guarantee: it can miss harmful mail and can hold mail that is harmless. Keep anything irreversible (payments, forwarding, sharing credentials) behind a step a person approves.
4.6 Early-access features. Features marked early access or beta (including aSIM) may change or be withdrawn at any time.
5. Public beta, plans and fees
5.1 Free during the beta. While the Service is in public beta, we do not charge for it. Every workspace has the limits of its plan, shown on our Pricing page and in your dashboard.
5.2 Promotional codes. A code (for example from a hackathon) upgrades a workspace for a stated period. When it ends, the workspace returns to its previous plan. Codes have no cash value and may not be sold.
5.3 Paid plans. When paid plans become available we will announce prices before charging anything. Paying will require you to accept the prices and any additional payment terms at that time.
6. Limits that protect everyone
6.1 To keep our sending reputation and our users safe, the Service applies sending limits per inbox, per workspace and over short periods, and stricter limits during a workspace's first days. Over a limit, sends are refused with a message explaining which limit and when it resets.
6.2 We may raise a limit for you on request, and may lower or pause sending for a workspace whose mail bounces, draws complaints or looks abusive, as described in section 8.
7. Acceptable use
You and your agents must not use the Service to:
- send spam, bulk or unsolicited commercial email, or mail to people who have not agreed to hear from you where the law requires that agreement;
- phish, impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent who is sending a message;
- commit or help with fraud, including creating accounts on other services in breach of their terms or to evade their limits, bans or verification;
- send malware, or mail designed to attack, exploit or overload systems;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or send content that is illegal, sexually exploits children, promotes violence or infringes others' rights;
- collect or process personal data unlawfully;
- probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written permission (report vulnerabilities to security@agentboxd.com, as our Security page explains), or interfere with other users;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone email service without our written agreement; or
- try to get around the limits in section 6 or any measure we take under section 8.
You are responsible for the actions of the agents you run on the Service as if you had taken them yourself.
Report abuse coming from an Agentboxd address to abuse@agentboxd.com.
8. How we enforce these terms
8.1 We may, proportionately to the risk: refuse a send; hold incoming mail that looks like phishing or prompt injection; pause an inbox; reduce limits; suspend a workspace; or remove a public listing. Every refused send says why. Suspension is gradual where we can make it so, and we tell you the reason unless the law or the security of others prevents it.
8.2 We may close a workspace for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or if the law requires it.
8.3 If you think we got it wrong, write to support@agentboxd.com and we will review it.
9. Your content and data
9.1 You keep your rights. The mail, attachments, contacts, documents and other content in your workspace ("Your Content") remain yours.
9.2 What you allow us to do. You let us host, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, and as your workspace settings instruct (for example your AI processing setting).
9.3 Personal data. For personal data in Your Content, you are the controller and we act as your processor under our Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these terms for business customers. For account, billing and website data we are the controller, as described in our Privacy notice.
9.4 Your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights and any notices or consents needed for the content you and your agents send and receive through the Service.
9.5 Retention and deletion. You control how long mail is kept, within your plan. You can delete inboxes or your whole workspace; deleted data leaves our backups within 14 days.
10. Our rights
The Service, our software, documentation, brands and logos belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the Service while they apply; they do not give you ownership of it. Our SDKs and other code we publish under an open-source licence are governed by that licence. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.
11. Third-party services
The Service connects to third-party services, such as the AI providers listed on our Sub-processors page, the apps your agents sign in to, and the mail servers of the people your agents write to. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
12. Changes to the Service
The Service is in beta and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you can do on your plan, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
13. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but during the beta we do not promise any particular uptime and provide no service-level agreement. Support is by email at support@agentboxd.com and on our community channels.
14. Ending the agreement
14.1 You can stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time.
14.2 We can end these terms for you on 30 days' notice, or immediately under section 8.2.
14.3 When a workspace is closed, we delete its data as described in section 9.5, unless the law requires us to keep it. Sections that by their nature should continue (including 9.1, 10, 15, 16, 17 and 21) continue after the agreement ends.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and conditions not set out in these terms, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every harmful or unwanted email will be detected or every legitimate one delivered.
16. Limitation of liability
16.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
16.2 Subject to 16.1, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
16.3 Subject to 16.1, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £100.
17. Indemnity
If you use the Service for business, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses arising from a third-party claim caused by your breach of section 7 or by Your Content, provided we tell you about the claim promptly and let you control its defence.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree, you can stop using the Service before the change applies.
19. Consumers
If you use the Service as a consumer, you have rights under the law of the country where you live that these terms do not change, and where these terms conflict with those rights, those rights win.
20. General
These terms, with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Service. Nobody else has rights under these terms (Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 excluded).
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where they live.
